Hello everyone. My name is Rich Catalano and I'm living in south-western Japan. I'm
one of the many ex-pats in Japan, and I have been here since 1993. I am a big history
buff--of course, I love Japanese history but other areas that interest me are Central
Asia, Russia, China, and Europe.
I used to teach full-time here in Japan and was even given the honor of being a
Homeroom Teacher, a position rarely conferred upon foreigners. Well, a year of that
drove me away from teaching for good. I have been buying and selling Japanese
military antiques since I came to Japan and have yet to be bored doing it. And I've
met some great people, both in person and online.
